Local photos on your mobile phone



Mobile version for our Images search for Twitter mashup has been updated:

http://localphoto.linkstore.ru (it is a mobile site).

Lets you see the recently published photos nearby. So, you can see local photos as well as search them by the keywords. It is mobile web application that works on HTML5 browsers (Android, iPhone, Samsung etc.)

This latest version supports the following features:

1) you can pass geo-points as parameters for the above mentioned URL (parameters are lat - latitude and lng - longitude) and create a mobile link for photos. For example, live photos from London:

2) you can directly set search string. Parameter's name is q. For example:

http://localphoto.linkstore.ru?q=sport

btw, you can use here some name from Twitter, hashtag etc.

Mobile video sites

Our mashup Mobile video has been updated. It is a tool for creating mobile video sites. Lets you collect on the single mobile web page all the video from Youtube you are interested in. Just copy/paste some URLs from YouTube and get mobile web page for using directly or as a part of your own mobile site/portal. Mashup presents also QR-code for loading that page directly into your mobile browser.

One of the most delicious from our mashups has been updated. Get an idea about your next breakfast, lunch or dinner right from Twitter. Mashup Food from Twitter shows you the live stream of food pictures just published in Twitter. See what other people are eating right now.

New version supports Instagram and own image hosting from Twitter. Speed for search has been optimized.

You can also pass the following parameters to the original URL:

lat - latitude for search
lng - longitude for search

and perform local search. For example:

Photo map

Our mashup Photo map has been updated. It lets you see real time photos from Twitter on Google map. Now it supports Instagram and image hosting from Twitter too. The speed has been improved.

You can directly describe an area for photos. Base URL accepts the following parameters:

lat - latitude
lng - longitude
zml - zoom level
mrk - (1/0) - show or not a marker at the center of map
lang - a language for map. E.g.: lang=de

Our new article Context-Aware Browsing for Hyper-Local News Data

This paper describes a new model for delivering hyper-local data to mobile subscribers. Our model uses any exiting or especially created Wi-Fi hot spot as presence sensor that can open access for some user-generated content.

Day in photos from Twitter

A picture is worth a thousand words. Our mashup Twitter's day in photos has been updated. At the first hand, the speed has been optimized.

It presents for you trends in Twitter, illustrated by the photos from Twitter (all stores for images, including Instagram and Twitter's own image hosting for example)

Optional parameters for the basic URL are:

lat - latitude for images search
lng - longitude for images search
q - query string
WOEID - geo index for searching trends

WOEID is so called Where on Earth ID. Here you can find WOEID for your own place. For example:

Day in San-Francisco
Day in London

By default mashup shows the global trends (WOEID=1).

Search images from Twitter

Our mashup Photos from Twitter has been updated. Lets you search photos from Twitter timeline. The newest version includes improved search algorithm (e.g. supports Instagram and new image hosting from Twitter) and fixed sharing functionality. Also the speed has been improved.

Also you can set also initial parameters for your search. For example the above-mentioned script lets you pass the following parameters:

lat - latitude for search area
lng - longitude for search area
q - query string
